Pranksy (Wooloo Arc)|11月 11, 2025 14:44
We're launching House of Pranksy in under three hours, and I genuinely have no idea what's going to happen.
The mixed response to updates today does support the view I've held for some time:
The future of NFTs lies away from floor price discussion and immediate expectation of financial returns.
Most of the negative engagement we've had today has been from those who haven't necessarily understood what we are trying to do.
This isn't an attempt to raise some ETH and run off to the hills on a magic rug - we are trying to lay some foundations for a sustainable project that brings the team security in their jobs for the foreseeable future.
We want to make something engaging for the long-term, for real people who are looking for somewhere and something to be a part of. That's one of the major things that NFTs and their communities used to represent.
Why Soulbound? No chance for speculation, no expectation or reliance on secondary royalties.
Why Open edition? We want anyone to be able to join us at any point, shutting people out seems -EV.
Why not free? People need to be paid, I think what we are offering is worth the one-time entry price, and individuals have the option to support at a higher level for more guaranteed opportunities (see Patreon and other platforms)
