Hey friends~ A lot of people have been asking me lately, with so many Web3 projects out there, how do you figure out which ones are worth getting involved in? ‍ Don’t worry, today I’ve put together a 5-step universal analysis framework that even beginners can use. Follow this, and you’ll instantly get the “inside scoop” on any project! 1️⃣ Start with the sector: What category does it belong to? Public chains, DeFi, GameFi, SocialFi, AI+Web3, infrastructure… There are tons of sectors. Determine if it’s in a trending direction. For example, check out its website and X (formerly Twitter) introduction, or see which ecosystems it’s active in (Solana, BNB Chain—worth checking out!). 2️⃣ What problem does it solve? The core of a project is using blockchain to address traditional pain points. For instance, Uniswap’s decentralized trading solves the black-box issues of exchanges. Summarize its “problem-solving logic” in one sentence, and you’ll understand its core value. 3️⃣ How does it solve it? Let’s talk mechanics! For example, what product mechanisms does it use? Are there token incentives? Staking, check-ins, minting, or gamification? Try out the product yourself to discover its highlights~ 4️⃣ What’s the business model—how does it make money? Is it earning from fees, users, or relying on capital injections? Look into the real-world application scenarios of its token and its ability to generate revenue. You’ll quickly figure out if it’s just hype. 5️⃣ Check out the team + community buzz! Big VC backing like a16z? Is the team’s background reliable? Also, look at community engagement and the strength of its partners—like whether it’s collaborating with major platforms (Galxe, OKX are good signals~). Beginner’s practical tip: Use these 5 steps to analyze 3-5 projects weekly and keep a research journal! With this formula in hand, you’ll feel confident~ What projects have you been researching lately? Let’s chat!
