**[Thousands of Suspicious Transactions Found in Bittrex Bankruptcy Filing, Potentially Impacting Creditor Claims]**
BlockBeats News, November 7: According to a report by DL News, Bittrex's bankruptcy filing is filled with tens of thousands of contradictory, suspicious, and unlikely transactions, which could affect nearly 2 million customers who held funds on the cryptocurrency exchange before its collapse in 2023.
Regulatory compliance researcher Pasha Onur stated, "Our analysis of court documents and Bittrex's hot and cold wallets shows that over $500 million in fraudulent transactions were submitted across multiple bankruptcy filings to the bankruptcy court." If the large number of transactions submitted in Bittrex's bankruptcy filing are inaccurate, it could have a significant impact on creditors attempting to recover funds from the failed exchange.
Founded in Seattle in 2014, Bittrex repeatedly violated regulatory rules and filed for bankruptcy in May 2023, weeks after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission accused it of operating an unregistered securities exchange. The platform shut down in December of the same year.
