This year, we've witnessed the terrifying power of the Sui ecosystem. Another project worth keeping an eye on as it approaches TGE is @Talus_Labs. Buckle up, folks! Let's dive into Talus's technical architecture. Hardcore knowledge incoming—here’s a single image to help you understand the technical logic behind this $10M-funded project. According to Talus Network's official documentation, it describes itself as the missing infrastructure for autonomous digital economies. What does that mean? Right now, the concept of AI agent economies is trending, but artificial intelligence currently cannot safely and reliably execute or participate in economic activities on the blockchain. Talus aims to enable AI to truly operate autonomously, collaborate, and generate income on the blockchain. The core technology of Talus is called Nexus, which serves as the "coordinating brain" and "communication nervous system" of the entire system, responsible for orchestrating operations across layers and verifying executions. Nexus is built on a three-layer architecture: blockchain layer, data layer, and computation layer: ❶ Blockchain Layer (Coordination and Value Layer) Responsible for managing identity, assets, and permissions, and providing a verifiable execution environment. Nexus's on-chain components are deployed on the Sui blockchain, with smart contracts written in the Move language. Move is inherently designed to enhance security while maintaining high performance and flexibility. Becoming the best L1 for developing high-performance, verifiable AI applications is also the next phase of Sui's development. ❷ Data Layer (Storage Layer) Responsible for storing metadata, context, and runtime states of agents, primarily supported by Walrus. Walrus can store data such as agent metadata, agent memory, and the context of agent operations. At this stage, Walrus mainly addresses the issue of high on-chain storage costs. ❸ Computation Layer (AI Execution Layer) Responsible for executing the AI logic required by agents, such as LLM, image recognition, web access, and other complex tasks. Coordination between on-chain and off-chain is achieved through the Nexus Offchain Leader Network. Simply put, agent workflows are deployed on-chain, but tools can run off-chain. Initially, trusted nodes will handle execution, and in the future, Talus plans to gradually implement decentralized execution through Trusted Execution Environments (TEE). In simple terms, Talus bridges the gap between on-chain and off-chain operations, enabling AI agents to become key players in on-chain economic activities with low cost, high performance, and trustworthiness. The AI agent economy is just getting started, and laying a solid foundation is more important at this stage than chasing blockbuster applications. Talus is deeply tied to the Sui ecosystem in terms of both technical support and funding background. As we've seen recently with MMT and AIA, the Sui ecosystem continues to surprise us with its moves. To play it safe, it's better to get in early, accumulate low-cost tokens, and keep them in hand.
