A clear sign that the bear market is approaching is the frequent security issues popping up with established protocols. Recently, Balancer was attacked, suffering losses of over $120 million, which can be said to have directly driven this wave of market downturn. Yesterday, Moonwell's lending contract was hit by multiple attack transactions. The attacker exploited the incorrect price returned by the oracle for wrst, using just a flash loan of about 0.02 wrstETH to deposit and repeatedly borrow over 20 wstETH, profiting 295 ETH (around $1 million). Chainlink stated: Moonwell was using a deprecated, low-liquidity, low-trading-volume asset rsETH as its market price data source. Balancer is the main source of trading volume and TVL for rsETH, and the aftermath of the attack directly caused a price deviation in the rsETH market. According to BIS statistics, oracle manipulation is expected to cause over $52 million in DeFi losses during 2024-2025, accounting for 20-30% of total hacker-related losses. The recently trending AI agents and prediction markets also have a rigid demand for high-speed, trustworthy oracles. However, traditional single-source oracles can no longer meet the needs of high-frequency, high-value DeFi scenarios. @DeAgentAI's zkTLS AI oracle is truly timely. It specifically targets the AI agent economy track, using "zero-knowledge encryption proof" methods to enable blockchain to verify external API calls (like OpenAI) as authentic and trustworthy. This solves the issues of traditional oracles being unable to verify data authenticity and protect privacy. Its usability and security still need more time to be validated, but I have to say DeAgentAI is quite skilled at capturing trends and addressing market pain points. This project gives me the impression of being very agile, with lots of moves and strong token control capabilities. It's the kind of project that will keep stirring things up and requires ongoing attention.
