[Cai Wensheng: AI-Web3 Startup Hub Fully Occupied, Providing a Better Environment for the Industry]
BlockBeats News, November 4 – Meitu founder Cai Wensheng stated at Hong Kong Fintech Week 2025 that his previous investment of HK$650 million to purchase a whole commercial building in Tin Hau to create an AI-Web3 startup hub was intended to set an example by providing a space in the heart of Hong Kong to incubate startups. The building is just a one-minute walk from the MTR station and is equipped with convenient dining and accommodation facilities. Currently, the building is fully occupied by AI and Web3 companies. Cai hopes that other real estate developers will also explore this trend and provide a better entrepreneurial environment for Hong Kong's AI and Web3 industries. Hong Kong's abundant talent pool has already laid the foundation for the incubation of future startups, and he also hopes the Hong Kong government can provide more guidance and support to private and industry players to foster the development of AI and Web3 startups.
Cai Wensheng also mentioned that the current market capitalization of native cryptocurrencies is approximately $4 trillion, with the potential to grow by no less than 10 times over the next 10 years. Even if the market cap reaches $40 trillion in the future, it will still have room for growth compared to the hundreds of trillions in traditional assets.
As previously reported on May 1, Cai Wensheng purchased a whole commercial building in the Tin Hau area of Hong Kong. The property in question is the "PARK AURA" Ginza-style commercial building on Tin Hau Temple Road, which was completed in 2020. The building has 25 floors (ground floor to 24th floor), with a single floor area of approximately 2,041 square feet and a total floor area of about 53,000 square feet. Cai Wensheng stated that he plans to transform the building into an AI-Web3 startup hub: the 1st and 2nd floors will feature an AI-themed café (similar to the Garage Café model) with space for AI technology lectures. Some floors will be designated as AI-Space co-working areas, which will be available for free to Hong Kong entrepreneurs upon application. The remaining floors are planned to house studios for AI and Web3-related fields.
