BTC continues the shakeout pattern seen in April and June, moving in three waves, with each wave hitting a lower low. The final wave ends with a V-shaped reversal, kicking off a new market trend. Starting on the 18th of last month, I wrote several posts discussing the market's movements after the brutal crash on October 11 ($1011), and why it unfolded this way. The focus was mainly on three points: 1>> Whales need to figure out the new chip structure. 2>> The market needs to be retested. 3>> Whales need to redefine their market-making strategy (some altcoins were even abandoned after $1011). Patience is key—wait for the market to finish its consolidation and for the trend to emerge. Previously, I mentioned that BTC would drop below $10k for a shakeout, but many didn’t believe me. Now, with the current setup, it hasn’t even broken $10k yet, and some people are already panicking. Looking ahead, I still think BTC should ideally break below $10k, find support around $9.8k–$9.9k, drop hard and deep enough to flush out weak hands, allowing whales to scoop up bloodied chips near $9.9k. Then, a sharp V-shaped reversal could kick off the next wave of the market. This scenario has a high probability. During this period, I’ve been reminding everyone: 1. Be patient. 2. Avoid any leverage. Those who listened are now able to stay calm and handle the situation with ease. Previously, BTC had a fake breakout, coupled with the hype around x402. At that time, I allocated 20% of my position to ETH, PING, etc. Now, I still have 80% of my funds ready to deploy in batches once BTC drops further. Even though many people are bearish now, my view hasn’t changed: there’s still one big rally left this year! The purpose of these three waves of sell-offs is to shake out weak hands and clean up the chips held by those who lack conviction. After this wave of sell-offs, retail investors will find it hard to get low-priced chips again.
