**[WILD Experiences Flash Crash Due to Cascading Liquidations, Arthur Hayes Posts to Encourage Buying the Dip]**
BlockBeats news, November 4: On November 3, a Wilder World team member posted an update stating, "At approximately 15:45 on November 3, WILD experienced a rapid flash crash, which is still ongoing. This event was not caused by security vulnerabilities or attacks but stemmed from cascading liquidation events in the WILD PeaPods lending pool.
Simply put, our integration with PeaPods introduced unforeseen systemic risks that we did not fully understand at the time. Unfortunately, under extreme market conditions, these risks were triggered, leading to forced liquidations and a sharp price drop."
BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes commented on the matter, saying, "It’s crucial to understand the risks of using leverage and lending in DeFi. You should never allow yourself to be liquidated. That said, thank you for giving me the opportunity to buy more WILD tokens at a lower price. Can’t wait for Open World to launch in December!"
As of the time of writing, WILD has dropped over 65% in the past 24 hours, with its market capitalization falling to $33 million.
