Blockchain can't be applied to every industry. GameFi, SocialFi, and many others are just hype. Blockchain is inherently made for finance. Just invested in a project called Tria—finance is its starting point. Tria isn’t building wallets or cross-chain bridges; it’s rewriting the concept of accounts. Traditional bank accounts are tied to institutions, and clearing relies on internal reconciliation systems. Tria’s accounts are self-custodial, giving users full control over their funds. Clearing happens on-chain, with every transaction settled and verified in real-time. Its underlying tech is called BestPath. The logic is simple: it directly finds the optimal path across chains and VMs, compressing asset transfers, exchanges, and settlements into a single transaction. Users don’t need to switch chains, worry about gas fees, or stress over bridge security. For users, it’s just input → confirm → funds received, while everything happening in the backend is handled automatically by the system. On the front end, Tria has created a unified account system where cards, assets, and payments are all integrated. It feels like a banking app, but without the bank. The card can be used for spending in multiple countries, the account can hold multi-chain assets, and transaction records and balances are stored on-chain. It’s more like a global account layer for crypto, but with a UI that resembles modern finance. They’re also working on an account model for AI agents. In the future, not only humans but AI could have accounts, capable of autonomous income, spending, investing, and settling. This might sound far from everyday life, but it’s definitely the direction—funding logic no longer relies on humans but is based on identity and permissions. Tria’s actual revenue is growing. The team has a strong engineering and payments background. Their funding isn’t huge, but their roadmap is clear. The phrase “changing the world” is overused. I don’t know if this project can do that, but trying to rebuild the foundation of financial infrastructure—that’s something I’d call Build. The project is about to make some moves soon. Not sure what they’re up to, but I’ll keep an eye on it. #Tria #Blockchain #Crypto #DeFi
