Bitcoin has no owner, but some shady folks just had to create something like a Bitcoin community, yelling about forking and upgrading Bitcoin so that Turing-complete native BTC smart contracts could be implemented on the BTC chain—provided OP_CAT is enabled. First of all, enabling OP_CAT is impossible. If it were enabled, it would cause data overflow. Even if it were implemented using SegWit, what’s the point of making BTC Turing-complete? From the perspective of EVM, how is this better than ETH or other smart contract chains? Bitcoin doing smart contracts is like a solar-powered flashlight—it works when there’s sunlight, but at night or in places without light, you’d need another flashlight to shine on the solar-powered one just to make it work. #Bitcoin #Crypto #BTC
