A few days ago, I got screwed over. I sent a file to a partner, and they said they didn’t receive it. When I showed them a screenshot, they said, ‘You can edit the timestamp on screenshots, who would believe that?’
That’s when I realized, it’d be great if blockchain could prevent tampering.
Then I came across @irys_xyz (formerly Bundlr Network). They’re doing exactly that—tagging data with anti-counterfeit labels and storing it permanently on Arweave.
Recent highlights:
1️⃣ Frame Chain L2: Built on Arbitrum Orbit, it’s fast and cheap for storing data, specifically designed for large-scale data tracing.
2️⃣ Origin Bytes event: Upload data to earn points, a low-cost way to potentially score future airdrops.
3️⃣ Ecosystem incentives: Developers get subsidies, and content platforms are already using it.
I casually uploaded a file, and the moment the points hit my account, I felt this thing is legit.
Random thought: AI can fake stuff, but Irys wants real data to always have a source.
Low-cost participation—don’t miss out on potential future airdrops.
