I’ve been seeing quite a few KOLs talking about @brevis_zk these days. Brevis has been officially recognized by Vitalik, Tom Lee, the official ETH Twitter, and the official BNB Chain Twitter all at once—basically a grand slam player in the Infofi space. As for the project itself, you’ve probably seen enough information over the past few days, so I won’t repeat it here. Instead, let’s take a quick trip down memory lane. My first interaction with Dr. Dong @no89thkey dates back to 2018. At the time, I was still writing columns for Baihua and participated in translating the @CelerNetwork whitepaper. Back then, ETH had just started exploring scaling solutions. For those who joined the space in the past two years, you might be familiar with Rollups, but back in 2017–2019, the earliest solutions were State Channels (Raiden Network and Celer) and Plasma (not the stablecoin public chain we know today, but the predecessor of Rollups). Celer’s State Channel technology was the most advanced at the time. However, when ETH fully committed to Rollups and abandoned other technical solutions, Celer pivoted to cross-chain bridges. Among the three major cross-chain bridge approaches back then, Celer was the absolute representative of HTLC (Hash Time-Locked Contracts). HTLC-based bridges were also the safest cross-chain bridge solutions at the time. Later, Cbridge evolved into State Guardian Network + Optimistic Rollup and added Celer IM, which not only served as an asset bridge but also supported cross-chain messaging (used for calling contract functions on other chains). So @brevis_zk didn’t just appear out of nowhere. Dr. Dong has been deeply involved in blockchain technology, especially on the ETH side, for years. His dedication to cutting-edge tech eventually led to Brevis standing at the forefront of the ZK wave. I reconnected with Dr. Dong in 2023 when the concept of zk coprocessors started gaining traction. At the time, I was at ABCDE and had many discussions with Dr. Dong about ZK. At the end of 2023, I, @Kristian_cy, and Dr. Dong @no89thkey co-authored the research report *A Deep Dive into ZK Coprocessor and Its Future*. Even while writing it, I was already super bullish on Brevis. Two years later, Brevis is finally shining bright—whether it’s proof time, cost, or the projects it’s collaborating with, it’s far ahead of the game. It even got Vitalik excited. This might be the first time he’s seen a blueprint for achieving the vision of Fully Snarked Ethereum in the coming years, using consumer-grade hardware, reasonable costs, and fast speeds. What else is there to say? @brevis_zk LFG! @no89thkey you’re awesome!
