Many people still don’t understand—what exactly am I shouting about? When I talk about speaking with justice and rallying forces of justice, I’m really just calling for the return of the 'cypherpunk spirit.' Take a look at what our industry has become: Centralized exchanges hold the power of life and death, VC coins with high FDV are dumped en masse, airdrop incentives are dominated by witch-hunting studios, project teams go idle and do nothing after TGE, and the nihilistic MEME culture has left most practitioners unable to find the meaning of building... This isn’t just about slapping a decentralized idealist label on myself. It’s about shouting out in a time when the industry has completely lost its direction, even undergone a total transformation, and urging everyone to reexamine: What was the original cypherpunk spirit of crypto? It’s not just some tech geeks hyping themselves up, but a sustained force of technical innovation using code to fight against the monopoly of power; It’s not the distorted packaging of innovation narratives by exchanges and VCs, but an experimental innovation using cryptography to reconstruct centralized trust mechanisms; It’s not a game of passing the baton in concept hype to fleece retail investors, but a commitment to long-termism in building real value; ... When Satoshi released the Bitcoin white paper, he was fighting against the corruption of centralized financial systems exposed during the 2008 financial crisis; @VitalikButerin envisioned Ethereum as a world computer where anyone could deploy applications without permission. But now, how many people still remember these original intentions? In other words, my shouting isn’t about venting frustration after Degen liquidation, nor is it about launching attacks on the power peaks of exchanges, and it’s definitely not about seeking attention or sensationalizing. I genuinely believe that our crypto environment has changed, is sick, is broken, and desperately needs a cultural awakening and redemption! I know it feels powerless, but what’s even scarier is that most people think it’s meaningless. That’s completely wrong. The black swan liquidation bloodbath events we’re facing, the trust crises from being fleeced, the hollow, nihilistic feeling of only knowing 'scam' and 'rug,' and the collective unconscious speculation—all of it stems from the loss of that pure 'cypherpunk' spirit.
