On his 41st birthday, he wrote that nations that once championed freedom are now implementing measures such as digital IDs, online age verification, and private message scanning, which could lead to the end of digital freedom. He warned that if this trend continues, the current generation may be the last to enjoy fundamental digital freedoms.
