FTX emphasized that the official platform will never ask users to connect their wallets. Some users have reported receiving fraudulent compensation emails, which mention the need to generate an XPUB and require downloading a tool. In response, Cosine from SlowMist Technology pointed out that the tool appears to be pieced together by AI, with the primary purpose of stealing users' mnemonic phrases, posing a significant risk. FTX urges users to remain cautious and avoid downloading malicious software that could lead to asset loss.
