Recently, market liquidity has dried up. Judging from the price movements of new coins in the spot market, shorting has a much higher success rate than going long. I’ve summarized some tips for shorting.
1. When an old coin suddenly gets listed on Upbit, short it after the explosive pump. Usually, it’s listed against the Korean Won pair, which can pump 50-100%. For other pairs, it’s around 30%. After the pump, it typically starts a slow downward trend. Based on results, almost every project that gets listed on Upbit is just there to offload tokens, so a drop is inevitable.
2. When a new coin gets listed on Binance, if the token distribution isn’t tightly controlled, you can short it on the first day. If the distribution is tightly controlled and the project has strong backing, short it on the second or third day. The first day might see a pump, but the second and third days are the best times to short. Especially if it’s listed on both Binance and Upbit simultaneously, there’s basically no room for further growth. The project team is guaranteed to offload tokens to make money.
Brothers, feel free to share other shorting tips in the comments!
