Portfolio concentration is a well-known prerequisite for success in crypto. But an equally (if not more) important type of concentration is attention concentration. I see many people chasing the new shiny object: Airdrop Farming > Memes > Base > Perps Hopping from niche to niche guarantees you'll never develop a true systemic edge. There ARE some discretionary traders who dabble in all fields, but they're usually multi-cycle - and came up mastering one aspect of crypto which is translatable to other niches (i.e. DeFi - which forces you to understand flows/fundamentals/valuations/risk etc). But I've never seen a meme trencher, for example, hop into perps and milk a sustainable edge. Pick a niche and go all in.(Miles Deutscher)
