The US government may be "shutting down" on Tuesday. Govt shutdowns rarely represent more than just noise for risk assets. Dec/2018 was a notable exception (see chart) - though that market crash was mainly driven by the Fed going hawkish rather than the shutdown itself. (Alex Krüger)
