You can't make this up:
After months of anticipation of Fed rate cuts, Fannie Mae says mortgage rates will still be 5.9% at the end of NEXT year.
That's just ~60 basis points below current levels.
Why is this the case?
Because inflation is rising, deficit spending is out of control, and the Fed can't control the long-term yields.
