Some data from GASA (Global Anti-Scam Alliance): In 2024, scammers worldwide stole over $1.03 trillion from victims, and only 4% of people recovered their full losses. The country with the most victims is the United States. Mainland China’s anti-scam campaigns are impressive, with overall losses ranking much lower compared to some European countries, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
