OpenAI and Oracle to Announce Data Center Expansion in Texas

According to a report by Jinse Finance citing U.S. media outlet The Information, sources revealed that OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Oracle (ORCL.N) newly appointed Co-CEO Clay Magouryk are expected to announce on Tuesday the expansion of their data centers in Texas. Oracle Cloud is already operating data centers in the region, and it is anticipated that the maker of ChatGPT will spend hundreds of billions of dollars over the next decade to lease servers from these facilities. Just one day prior to this event, Altman and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced that the chip design company will invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI at an unspecified time to help the startup develop its own data centers.
