[CFTC Announces Aptos Labs CEO Avery Ching as New Member of Subcommittee Under Global Markets Advisory Committee]
Odaily Planet Daily News – The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Acting Chair Caroline D. Pham has announced the list of new members for the Global Markets Advisory Committee (GMAC) and its subcommittees, congratulating Aptos Labs Co-Founder and CEO Avery Ching on his appointment as a member of the Digital Asset Markets Subcommittee. Avery has over a decade of experience in building large-scale infrastructure and, prior to founding Aptos, was responsible for blockchain development, wallet infrastructure, and the technical construction of the Diem blockchain project at Meta. GMAC is one of the advisory bodies to the CFTC, composed of experts from traditional finance and the digital asset sectors, providing long-term policy recommendations to the CFTC. It not only shapes U.S. regulatory decisions but also serves as an important reference for international discussions on global market structures and digital asset regulation. Pham expressed her anticipation of collaborating with industry leaders such as Avery, Scott Lucas, Head of Digital Asset Markets at JPMorgan Chase, and Sandy Kaul, Executive Vice President at Franklin Templeton, to promote the orderly development of the digital asset market.
