Four defendants purchased gold for upstream telecom network fraud perpetrators, sold it for cash, and transferred virtual currency through illegal virtual currency platforms to help launder stolen funds. It is reported that the transaction amount reached over RMB 789,000, of which over RMB 452,000 was confirmed to be fraud-related funds. The court ultimately sentenced the defendants to fixed-term imprisonment ranging from two years to one year and imposed fines ranging from RMB 10,000 to RMB 20,000.
