[Ethereum Mainnet Fusaka Upgrade Tentatively Scheduled for December 3 This Year] BlockBeats News, September 19: Former Galaxy Digital Research Vice President Christine Kim posted on the X platform, stating that today's Ethereum developer call, ACDC 165, made significant decisions. Developers confirmed the timeline for the public testnet and the BPO hard fork schedule for Fusaka. The Fusaka mainnet upgrade is tentatively scheduled for December 3 this year at Epoch 411392. Reportedly, the Fusaka upgrade is the next major hard fork following the Pectra upgrade in May 2025, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and resilience of the network. It is a core part of Ethereum's "Surge" phase, aiming to reduce Layer 2 (L2) rollup fees and enhance overall throughput by optimizing data availability and validator responsibilities. Based on preliminary analysis of Fusaka Devnet-5, blob capacity is expected to more than double within two weeks of Fusaka's launch.
