Woke up this morning thinking I was seeing things. Rubbed my eyes again and realized it wasn’t a mistake—I somehow scored the biggest win of the year on Aster. Looking back at my history, it seems I started researching this project back in December last year when it was still called Astherus (what a tongue-twister of a name). Initially, I treated it as a stablecoin project for farming, but after they rebranded and pivoted to focus on Perpdex, I went all in. There’s been quite a bit of FUD along the way. Some said the team wasn’t good and the user experience was bad. Others claimed Hyperliquid was too strong and no other Perpdex could survive in the space. Some even argued that current Perpdex trading friction would lead to losses instead of gains. Lots of noise, and even as of last night when things kicked off, there were still plenty of debates. Thankfully, Aster didn’t launch a native token contract yet. Otherwise, this wave wouldn’t just be about people selling too early—it’d probably have a lot of folks crying their eyes out . Looks like the contract will open on October 1st. The reason I was able to go heavy, buy the dip, and hold without selling is actually pretty simple: Binance has always been serious about what it does. Anything it lists as a strategic-level business ends up succeeding, and it’s almost always a case of latecomers overtaking the early movers. Think about stablecoins, contracts, and most recently the Binance Wallet—every single one of them. I do think Hyperliquid is strong, and it even seems like challengers don’t stand a chance. But based on my confidence in Binance, I never wavered in supporting Aster. When you’ve spent years betting on Binance and consistently winning, trust becomes a habit. Glad I stuck with it. At least for now, my gains are satisfying. Plus, BNB is only $5 away from the $1,000 target I predicted earlier. Today is truly a beautiful day ✅
