Almost missed it—there’s a retail sales MoM release tonight! Known in the industry as the 'scary data': consumer spending dominates the U.S. economy, accounting for about 70% of GDP. Retail sales data directly reflects changes in U.S. consumer spending, essentially representing consumer demand and purchasing power. It plays a crucial role in assessing the current state and outlook of the U.S. economy. This data is pretty important, but with the FOMC meeting coming up, it doesn’t seem as critical right now—after all, the whole market’s focus is on the meeting! Let’s just keep an eye on it, especially for short-term traders! There will be a lot of economic data releases before the 26th of this month, along with speeches from Fed officials and economic events from other countries, like the Bank of Japan’s interest rate decision. We’ll see how it goes then. For now, the market’s just fluctuating, so there’s not much point in overanalyzing. U.S. August Retail Sales MoM Bitcoin SOL
