[U.S. House of Representatives to Vote on Temporary Funding Bill Next Monday]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, five U.S. Republican officials revealed that Republican leaders are planning to hold a House vote next week on a temporary spending bill to extend government funding until November 21—Friday before Thanksgiving. House Appropriations Committee Chairman Cole confirmed on Thursday that the vote will take place next Monday. This move will advance a measure that Democratic leaders have already hinted they will veto. Cole said, "We can get it done. The gap is not that big. But it’s challenging to complete this work in the little time we have left, as I may need to finish it by the end of next week." If the temporary funding bill passes in the House, Senate Republicans may also bring the bill to the agenda next week. Currently, the November 21 date has not been fully finalized.
