JPMORGAN: BUYBACKS SET TO HIT NEW RECORDS JPMorgan expects U.S. share buybacks to rise by 600B on top of this year’s record 1.5T pace. Global buybacks have already matched last year’s 1.37T in just eight months, implying a potential 1.9T for 2025—a 38% increase. Despite strong volumes, buybacks relative to market cap remain below historical peaks (2.6% vs. 5% in 2007). Along with low IPO activity, record buybacks are shrinking equity supply for the fourth year in a row, continuing to support markets.(*Walter Bloomberg)
