Is the 2025 bull market still on? I compared some key indicators from 2017, 2021, and 2025: 1- Bitcoin Dominance (BTC.D): Dropped to 35% in 2017, hit 40% in 2021, and is now still at 60%. 2- Altcoin Season Index: Surpassed 75 multiple times in 2017 and 2021, currently sitting at 40-50. 3- MVRV Ratio: Peaked at 4.5 in 2017, 3.7 in 2021, and is now at 2.2-2.5. 4- Fear & Greed Index: Stayed at 85-90 for a long time in 2017, exceeded 90 twice at the peaks in 2021, and is now at 70-75. 2017 and 2021 were classic retail-driven bull markets, characterized by a sharp drop in BTC.D, explosive altcoin seasons, and skyrocketing search volumes. 2025 is shaping up to be an institution-driven bull market, marked by massive ETF inflows, MVRV not yet overheating, and Fear & Greed showing greed but not extreme levels. I remember there was a Twitter user who made a chart with over 20 indicators, none of which had crossed the red line. He said he wouldn’t start selling altcoins until more than half of them crossed the red line. I can’t find it now~ I feel like the altcoins I’m holding that have dropped 5-10x might still have a chance!
