[Web3 Startups Raise $9.6 Billion in Q2, Marking Second-Highest Quarterly Funding; Infrastructure Projects Attract Majority of Capital]
According to a report by Coindesk, based on the latest findings from Outlier Ventures, despite the number of funding rounds dropping to the lowest level in two years, Web3 startups raised $9.6 billion in venture capital in Q2 2025, setting the second-highest quarterly funding record in history. This indicates that the market is maturing, with investors channeling more funds into fewer projects. Web3 funding is shifting from hype-driven activities to precise, sustainability-focused investments, with investors favoring infrastructure and experienced teams over scale.
Among these, Series A funding saw a strong rebound, with the median funding amount climbing to $17.6 million, the highest level in over two years. Seed round median funding also rose to $6.6 million. Infrastructure projects such as validator liquidity, rollups, and compute networks attracted the majority of the capital, with median funding sizes ranging from $70 million to $112 million.
