hot wallets are a (security) bug; cold hardware wallets are a (security) feature. It might be a controversial take (or maybe not lol) but the reality is most people simply can't securely manage a hot wallet. Computers are constantly being infostealer-compromised, people save pks & seeds in online pw managers or simple txt files, and fake wallet extensions happily trick people into giving the keys away. I genuinely believe the only way forward is going hardcore on hardware wallets - keeping the keys offline by design (and teach people to not take mobile phone images of the seed) - if we want to stop the endless cycle of thefts from compromised keys.(sudo rm -rf --no-preserve-root /)
