The market has been super hot lately, reminding me of the days when ETH hit its all-time high.
Back when ETH reached its ATH, there was one sector that was absolutely booming and attracted tons of players.
That was the blockchain gaming sector.
I noticed YGG has broken $1 million in revenue over the past 30 days—are blockchain games making a comeback?
Last month, YGG launched the first game on its self-developed platform, YGG Play—LOL Land, which is similar to the Monopoly-Go game.
In just the past 30 days, this little game has generated $1 million in revenue, which annualized would be $12 million. That’s comparable to GMGN’s revenue.
What’s even crazier is that YGG has already completed a $1 million token buyback, and the funds were directly withdrawn from Binance to the chain for the buyback—real money being given back to the community.
In July, they completed a $518k token buyback, bringing the total buyback amount to $1.5m.
It wasn’t until I saw on-chain data analyzed by experts and TVbee recently that I realized how strong YGG has been performing.
To put it simply, YGG is no longer just a guild—it’s building its own product ecosystem through YGG Play, with revenue, buybacks, and both narrative and fundamentals supporting it.
The current price is pretty low, and this project seems loaded. Might open a long position to calm my nerves.
