Trump has weaponized the DoJ to silence dissidents. Fed Cook voted against rate cuts, and now has been referred to the DoJ for “mortgage fraud” just like Schiff. Private mortgage files aren’t supposed to be available to the government, including the DoJ, without an existing “with cause” investigation already existing. (Trump knows this well, given his history with mortgage fraud) So the fact that multiple opponents have now been accused of such a rare charge, with no prior investigation, proves that the FHFA Pulte is *illegally* on a fishing expedition, looking through the private files of political opponents and referring those to the DoJ. Congress should have FHFA director under oath, explaining what the cause was for reviewing these old applications in the first place. If he has due cause, great.
