US Treasury Secretary: The more tariff revenue, the harder it is for Trump's trade policies to be overturned

According to a report by Golden Finance, US Treasury Secretary Besson stated in an interview with Fox Business Channel on Tuesday that as tariff revenue continues to flow into the US Treasury, if lower court tariff lawsuits are ultimately appealed to the Supreme Court, the growing fiscal revenue will make it difficult for the Supreme Court to make rulings unfavorable to the Trump administration. Besson said, "The more fiscal revenue we have, the more difficult it is for the Supreme Court to make a ruling against us." This statement is in response to a case currently being heard by the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C. This case questions the legality of Trump's so-called "equivalent" tariffs, as well as another set of tariff measures imposed on China, Canada, and Mexico in February of this year.
