Many pages connected to Bedford are politically aligned, heavily censored, or driven by agendas far removed from the principles of freedom and liberty. Project Bedford exists as an alternative, a space dedicated to open discussion, transparency, and community action without political bias or unnecessary censorship. This is a private initiative committed to restoring safety, strengthening security, and driving economic prosperity in Bedford. It is built on the foundations of liberty: free markets, free speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of association, and the protection of property rights. Project Bedford is founded with the beliefs of limited government, personal responsibility, and empowering individuals and businesses to shape the town’s future without excessive interference from the state. Project Bedford is not a political project. We are guided by libertarian principles but remain staunchly politically neutral. People of all political views, yes, even communists, are welcome to contribute ideas and energy. Our focus is solely on Bedford’s needs and opportunities. We will work with and support the mayor and councillors, regardless of party affiliation, while encouraging and valuing independent representation in local roles. The page will remain a free and open forum. We will never censor posts for political reasons or because they express unpopular views. The only posts that will be removed are those which break the law, for example, doxxing individuals or making threats of violence.
