I want to thank this guy for his loss, which is equivalent to airdropping $50 to each BTC holder. After asking GPT, it is estimated that at least 3 million BTC are actually permanently dormant and cannot be retrieved. This is not like @ Taylor and others announcing that their BTC will also be taken to the grave after death. BTC is actually rarer than you think.
