Texas, USA will arrest Democratic lawmakers who have fled

According to CNN, the Texas House of Representatives passed a motion today authorizing the Speaker to issue civil arrest warrants to arrest Democratic lawmakers who did not attend the special session. Yesterday, dozens of Democratic lawmakers collectively left Texas in an attempt to block the congressional district redistricting plan. The motion specifically authorizes the conference security or designated officials to bring back all members who are absent without approval, in order to ensure their attendance at the conference based on arrest warrants if necessary. The motion was ultimately passed with 85 votes in favor and 6 votes against, and Speaker Dustin Burrows announced the voting results. As of press time, the governor of Texas has ordered the arrest of Democrats who fled the state.
