Anthropic cuts off OpenAI's API access to Claude

Golden Finance reported that Anthropic cut off OpenAI's access to Claude through an application programming interface (API) on Friday, according to The Information. A spokesperson for Anthropic stated that this move was due to OpenAI's use of our coding tools prior to the release of GPT-5, which violated Anthropic's terms of service. These terms prohibit the use of Anthropic's artificial intelligence technology to develop competitive artificial intelligence models.
