According to a report by Golden Finance, PeckShield revealed that there were 17 major cryptocurrency security incidents in July 2025, with a total loss of $142 million, an increase of 27.2% from $111.6 million in June. It is worth noting that GMX hackers have returned approximately $40.5 million in encrypted assets. The five major security incidents in July were: cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX losing $44.2 million, decentralized exchange GMX losing $42 million (already recovered), BigONE losing $28 million, WOOX losing $12 million, and Future Protocol losing $4.2 million.
