When you consider that growth compounds, the substantially lower growth rate in Europe means within a generation there will be a material discrepancy in living standards between Europeans and wealthy countries. The wealthy elite of Europe may not notice, but the average European will be far worse off. This discrepancy is what regulators have stolen from Europe's future, in order to ingratiate themselves with altruistic accolades in the present.(Erik Voorhees)
