On the same day, the Presidential Office held a meeting on economic and trade countermeasures, chaired by Secretary General Jiang Xunzhi, and attended by Director of the National Security Office Wei Shengluo, Director of the Policy Office Jin Rongfan, Vice Premier of Economy and Minister of Planning and Finance Guan Runzhe, among others. At the press conference after the meeting, Wei Shengluo answered the question of "in which field the negotiations are hindered" and said that the South Korean side has put forward proposals that are beneficial to both sides, and the US side has expressed concern about some of them. The two sides are currently conducting pragmatic consultations.
