Very often, governments, especially in countries like Jamaica, feel pressured to approve projects that sound good on paper but, when the time comes to carry them out, bring more problems than solutions. This is not the road I want for Jamaica. We are moving with wisdom. Every project we take on must bring real, clear benefits to the Jamaican people. This government works for the people, but we also know that business and profits matter. We do not believe that making a profit and doing good for the country are two separate things. For a project to last and truly help our people, it must make sense for everyone involved, it must be good for business and good for Jamaica.
