All day today, recovery efforts have been underway in the Sumy region following the Russian drone strike. I am grateful to all our repair crews and to everyone in the energy sector who is restoring normal power supply. Russian drones struck energy infrastructure. Due to the damage to facilities, more than 220,000 consumers in the Sumy region were left without electricity — that's hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian families. During this morning, most of the supply had already been restored. As of now, electricity is nearly fully restored in the Sumy region. Throughout the day, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Energy have been reporting on the restoration process. All necessary resources have been provided. Ukrainians always rebuild what has been destroyed. And today, during negotiations in Türkiye, the representatives of Ukraine will once again insist on the need for an urgent and complete ceasefire, including a halt to such strikes on civilian infrastructure.(Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський)
