DogeOS proposes to implement ZKP native verification function in the Dogecoin network by introducing new opcodes

According to CoinDesk, DogeOS, the development layer of the Dogecoin ecosystem application, has officially submitted a technical proposal to Dogecoin Core, proposing to implement zero knowledge proof of knowledge (ZKP) native verification function through the addition of opcodes (OP_CECKZKP). This upgrade will support off chain applications such as Rollup and smart contracts, while maintaining the lightweight and high-speed characteristics of the main chain. The proposal adopts a modular design, with the first version supporting Groth16 proof verification and old version nodes being compatible for processing. To avoid performance risks, it is initially set that each script can only use one zero knowledge proof (ZKP) and each block can only use five zero knowledge proofs. DogeOS synchronously develops a zk virtual machine compatible with EVM, allowing Ethereum native applications to run directly on the Dogecoin infrastructure.
