Quantum Safe Lamport Signatures We explain Lamport signatures, a hash based quantum safe digital signature scheme and we illustrate how quantum safe signatures can be simple. Hash based signatures may be the way forwards. There is no concrete reason to believe quantum computing poses an imminent threat to Bitcoin. The first step in mitigating the apparent quantum risks is giving users the choice of spending Bitcoin in a quantum safe way.
