I was briefed by Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, on the launch of activities under this year’s Ambassadors’ Conference program. The Minister and more than 80 heads of Ukrainian diplomatic missions visited Zaporizhzhia and, together with the Head of the region, Ivan Fedorov, discussed what should become key priorities in working with partner countries.
Specific elements related to the supply of weapons for our warriors and the development of arms production. Concrete projects for the rebuilding and ensuring a normal life in Ukrainian cities and villages. Specific, legally effective mechanisms to hold Russia accountable and to utilize Russian assets for defense against its aggression.
Over the next six months, we must achieve tangible new results in cooperation with our partners across these three areas. A constant priority remains support for business engagement with Ukraine. This is one of the indicators by which the effectiveness of our embassies will be evaluated: attracting businesses, projects, and initiatives into our country that create jobs for our people and provide a real tax base. We also agreed with the Minister on decisions regarding leadership changes in several embassies.(Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський)
