BlockBeats News: On July 20th, Cosine, the founder of SlowMist, issued a security reminder that there have been a large number of phishing email attacks targeting X platform users recently. These emails with the subject "New login to X From XXX" can bypass the Gmail spam filtering system. The attacker forged abnormal login notifications for the account, induced the user to click on the "Change your password" or "Review the apps" links, and actually directed the user to the X official third-party application authorization page. Once the user authorizes the attacker, they will gain permission to publish and forward tweets, allowing them to control the content posted on their account without the user's knowledge. Users should be vigilant and handle any email notifications claiming abnormal login of X account with caution, avoiding clicking on links in emails and authorizing applications.
