According to Foresight News, sources reported that just a few days after Trump raised the possibility of cutting off business ties with companies under Musk in early June, the government began reviewing SpaceX's contract with the federal government. But officials believe that it is not possible to cancel most of the contracts because they are crucial to the Department of Defense and NASA. After Musk escalated his personal attacks on June 5th, Trump claimed that the simplest way to save federal funds was to "terminate" Musk's corporate contract. A few days later, a senior official from the General Services Administration of the United States requested that the Department of Defense, NASA, and other federal agencies fill out an electronic form listing all of their current contracts and other transaction agreements with SpaceX. After reviewing these data, officials from the White House and agencies including the Pentagon have determined that most contracts are crucial for the Department of Defense and NASA. Insiders say that some of SpaceX's contracts may continue to be under review.
