Hungary will implement new cryptocurrency legislation starting from July 1st, prohibiting unauthorized trading of digital assets. Individuals using unauthorized encrypted trading services will face up to 2 years in prison, with a sentence of 3 years for transactions exceeding 50 million forints (approximately $140000) and 5 years for transactions exceeding 500 million forints. Unlicensed service providers can face up to 8 years in prison. Revolut announced the suspension of its encryption services in Hungary.
