BlockBeats News: On July 11th, according to Politico, OpenAI has requested that California's political and financial regulatory agency investigate a non-profit organization that challenges its multi billion dollar business plan, accusing it of violating state lobbying laws and once again raising questions about the organization's relationship with Musk. The complaint submitted to the California Fair Political Conduct Commission (FPPC) alleges that the Coalition for AI Non Profit Integrity may have fabricated the identity of its leader and failed to report lobbying funds related to a now weakened state bill that could prevent ChatGPT manufacturers from transforming into for-profit entities. This is OpenAI's latest escalation of pressure on the organization. Meanwhile, OpenAI is still engaged in a legal battle with Musk. Musk was once a business partner of OpenAI and opposed the company's restructuring plan for financing, arguing that it deviated from its original non-profit mission of serving the public interest. CANI spokesperson Becky Warren stated in an email that her organization has not received any complaints on Thursday. (Golden Ten)
